PRINCIPAL STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Henry Tooryani, LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design AccreditedProfessional in Building Design and Construction) is the principal of MEI Group Incorporated, a preconstruction and construction management consulting firm providing a wide range of services in preconstruction, construction management and consulting. MEI Group Incorporated is incorporated in the State of California, in the United States.
Mr. Tooryani’s qualifications and expertise encompass large and complex construction projects, including commercial buildings, public works projects, government projects, private development, schools, colleges and universities, high rise and residential towers, hospitals and healthcare, water and wastewater treatment plants, large civil engineering projects, site work and bridges, airports, rail projects, rail stations, data center buildings such as the Facebook computer facilities, oil and gas related projects including, pump stations, turbines and booster stations, oil depots, oil tank farms, cross country large pile lines, Oil production units, Gas Injection projects refineries all with international companies such as Fluor of USA and Foster Wheeler of UK as well as other industrial projects include a comprehensive research and feasibility study and analysis in EPC & EPCF contract delivery for cement factories.
In addition, in having worked for large international construction and construction management companies, Mr. Tooryani also founded MEI Group Incorporated. His combined work experience spans more than 30 years in the United States and overseas, representing a construction cost value in the range of 3 Billion dollars.
As a “value added” component, Mr. Tooryani actively networks and collaborates with teams of qualified professionals such as senior managers, project executives, construction managers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and BIM/VDC Engineers (“Building Information Modeling/Virtual Design and Construction”), as well as MicroStation Platform engineers, who together bring over 100 years of experience to a project. The collaboration between clients, owners, architects, engineers, contractors and trade subcontractors that he fosters works to ensure that projects remain on target in terms of safety, quality, budget, timeline, and schedule. Additionally, it serves to provide focus on minimizing potential risks to projects.
Mr. Tooryani has taught evening classes at various Universities for more than 17 years, including the University of California at Berkeley Extension Program, where he participates in the Construction Management Certificate Program affiliated with UC Berkeley School of Engineering on their main campus. In addition, he taught for many years at San Jose State University’s College of Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as part of the Master’s Degree Program. Mr. Tooryani is a Mentor at Stanford University in the AEC Global Construction Management Program, working with Dr. Renate Fruchter in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. As he helps to shape future professionals in the industry, Mr. Tooryani stays on the cutting edge of industry practices and applications, allowing him to provide his clients with the latest techniques in the construction management field and the latest applications in scheduling and cost management, constructability, construction logistics, and 3D/4D modeling. He is well versed in the latest construction delivery processes, such as Design/Build, Turn Key (known overseas as EPC and EPCF), Lean Construction, IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) and Project Target Value, all of which serves to make him key to any project.
